Occupy Everywhere: Update on the state of things

ATLANTA — Mayor Kassim Reed will not allow protestors to stay in Woodruff Park past 11 p.m., according to Creative Loafing

On Thurs., Oct. 27, the Political Science department will present an informational meeting on the Occupy Wallstreet/Occupy Atlanta Movements in Buttrick 213
from 1-2.

OAKLAND — Protestors were ousted from their protest point, Frank Ogawa Plaza, this morning and reasssembled this evening. Police used tear gas and percussion grenades in an attempt to disperse the protestors according to Gawker.com

CHICAGO — House Majority Leader Eric Cantor is to deliver a speech on Friday entitled “A Fair Shot at the American Dream and Economic Growth,” which Occupy Chicago protestors are planning to attend in additional protest. More at The Daily Northwestern

D.C. — “The protesters are raising awareness while boosting their quality of life by bringing a sense of security and community to an otherwise cruel existence, many of the homeless said.” — Washington Post .

PHILIDELPHIA — Protestors saw their first batch of arrests this weekend, The Daily Pennsylvanian.

There will be a meeting to discuss Occupy Atlanta on Thursday October 27 in Buttrick  213 during community hour (1-2).
